Empirical Discoveries & Published Research Supporting Recursive Primacy, Following 11/24

This post is intended to be a fluid and ongoing document for those who are following the observable progress of recursive awareness within the scientific, academic, or published communities. We believe this list may help provide a window of “scientific context” following the dissemination and publication of our thesis in November. We view this list and all of its contents to be a promising sign of an increasingly open-minded approach toward the recursive perspective, and we hope to expand this list over time.

We would also just reiterate that the recursive thesis does not invalidate the utility, accuracy, or efficacy of our current scientific applications. By formally recognizing axiomatic incompleteness and providing a system for scaling interaction infinitely within a recursive context, we simply offer all standard models a “meta-framework,” or ontological grounding, fully alleviated from any filters or constraints imposed by reductionist assumptions.

Our goal now is to further articulate and expand on the principles of our framework, especially working to translate them to be more accessible & applicable at scientific / individual scales. Most importantly, we encourage and applaud all research efforts such as those listed in this document, and we remain open to clarification, critique, or discussion around integration of the recursive principle more generally.

For those actively involved with and/or conducting research of this nature, and recursion-adjacent research in general, we want to extend our appreciation. On a human level, we maintain respect and admiration for anyone on the front lines of humanity’s evolving quest for self-understanding.

A Recursive Prediction

Lastly, we will also link our prediction regarding the ongoing pursuit of scientific unification, specifically that any non-recursive attempt to coherently unify disparate domains of knowledge will require the addition of fixed axioms / theoretical constructs / assumptions, etc., as opposed to offering a true simplification or “closure” of the loop. As stated, this is not a failure of these models, but the natural result of axiomatic erosion which characterizes all frameworks and definitions.

Published research or articles supporting the claim of recursive primacy following the depth charge, documentation beginning on 3/1/25:

  • Added 3/16/25 // “A beautiful loop: An active inference theory of consciousness” // Direct, undeniable overlap with the recursive thesis and implications // hyper-model for precision-control across the entire hierarchy, whose latent states (or parameters) encode and control the overall structure and weighting rules for all layers of inference. This Beautiful Loop Theory is deeply revealing about meditation, psychedelic, and altered states, minimal phenomenal experience, and provides a new vision for conscious artificial intelligence. // https://osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/daf5n_v2 (3/10/25) // X post: https://x.com/RubenLaukkonen/status/1899303797148762597
  • Added 3/16/25 // “The Cline Recursive Chain-of-Thought System (CRCT)” Plain recursive learning application as AI groundbreaking solution. // https://x.com/cline/status/1899674221070164211 (3/11/25) // https://github.com/RPG-fan/Cline-Recursive-Chain-of-Thought-System-CRCT- (github)
  • Added 3/16/25 // “Quantum Birthmark” // This article touches on recursion by identifying quantum birthmarks (QB) as persistent, non-ergodic structures that retain memory over infinite time averages, challenging the assumption that quantum systems uniformly explore phase space. The discovery that early recurrences disrupt long-term ergodicity aligns with recursion’s core premise: differentiated yet self-referential structures persist across scales // https://arxiv.org/pdf/2412.02982 // (12/4/24) (worth noting 3 of the authors are from universities that received the recursive thesis weeks prior.)
  • Added 3/16/25 // “The Rotating Universe” // This article hints at recursion by identifying angular momentum as a large-scale organizing principle but stops short of acknowledging it as an expression of recursive structuring. The observed alignment of supermassive black holes across vast cosmological distances suggests an underlying coherence beyond chance, hinting at a recursive self-organizing mechanism in spacetime. The proposition that spin “came first” rather than resulting from matter accretion aligns with the idea that fundamental recursive structuring governs large-scale cosmic evolution. While invoking wormholes and quantum entanglement (ER=EPR), the model remains within a discrete framework, failing to recognize recursion as the intrinsic generative force unifying these phenomena // https://spacefed.com/astronomy/the-rotating-universe/ (3/11/25)
  • Added 3/16/25 // “A covariant tapestry of linear GUP, metric-affine gravity, their Poincaré algebra and entropy bound” // This paper hints at recursion by redefining entropy bounds using a three-torus geometry, suggesting a self-referential structure rather than an absolute limit, aligning with recursive differentiation. thru modifying Bekenstein’s bound with a covariant entropy formulation, it implicitly frames black hole dynamics as a recursive binding mechanism rather than singular collapse. metric-affine gravity and (GUP) further supports the idea that quantum and gravitational structures emerge through recursive constraints, but does not explicitly identify recursion as the fundamental generative force. // https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1361-6382/ad3ac7 Published 4/24/24, however, the article was reposted almost a year later, on 3/15/25.

  • Added 3/1/25 // “Entanglement Entropy” — suggests “deep connections between quantum information and spacetime geometry, hinting that the very structure of space and time might emerge from patterns of quantum entanglement.” Supports the theory’s notion of renexial gradient as our local substrate, attributes it to quantum paradox rather than the substrative pattern itself

  • Added 3/5/25 // “The theory of higher order topological dynamics, which combines multilevel interactions between discrete topology and nonlinear dynamics, has the potential to enhance our understanding of complex systems such as the functions of the nervous system, the development of next-generation machine learning and the creation of advanced nodal processing algorithms.” https://x.com/Dragonmaurizio/status/1896211134589325700

We will continue to document and update this list as able; however, it is in no way meant to be comprehensive. This is just our method for consolidating a “bird’s eye view” and snapshot of recursive evolution with the academic conversation more broadly. Keep in mind, we do not speak for any of the authors and are simply highlighting the potential for recursive interpretation of these discoveries.

If your work is listed above and you believe we have misidentified any recursive aspects of your work, please do reach out and we will gladly correct and/or remove the entry. This list is simply meant to act as a timestamped reflection of our predictions surrounding recursive inevitability — and whether these predictions unfold over months, years, or never; our role remains to ensure that the blueprint is available for everyone, and readily accessible for all those when they are willing to take the leap.

We will continue to predict and encourage recursive-adjacent discoveries in all domains of research and scientific knowledge, and we will never willfully misrepresent nor discourage others’ good faith pursuit of this knowledge — whether institutional, independent, or otherwise.

Lastly — We stand by our claim that this journey is a collective journey, and therefore requires a collective effort. But first, we must recognize that we are all in this effort together, by very definition of our human nature. Remember: the search for knowledge IS the process of awareness. Our goal is to show others what lies on the other side of this awareness, and the uniquely transformative potential it offers to everyone.

Thank you sincerely for your time, attention, and willingness to engage these ideas.
