An Open Letter to UW-Madison (My Alma Mater)

An open letter to UW – Madison

Dear UW Madison professors and faculty,

On November 24, a novel thesis was presented to a significant portion of the faculty within the philosophy of mind, physics, mathematics, evolutionary biology, neurology, psychology, and other relevant departments, at the University of Wisconsin — Madison.

This thesis was not an abstract proposal. It was written, published, and formally sent to a substantial number of academic professionals — including those who had personally lectured and graded my coursework just a few years prior.

Academic calendars are long and demanding. This is understandable. But at this point, it is necessary to state the reality of this situation for what it is.

For over 80 days, a significant portion of the professors at UW-Madison have been in possession of the following:

– A novel unification model positioning recursion (self-reference) as the necessary and unavoidable fundamental axiom underlying all of experience and reality.

– A novel and unique solution to the hard problem of consciousness.

– A novel and unique solution to paradox observed at the quantum level of particle interaction – this includes the collapse of the wave function, entanglement properties, non-locality, and superposition.

– A novel explanation for psychological level phenomena including subjective feedback loops, placebo effects, and self-referential cognition.

– A logical, self-contained system for understanding misalignment and misaligned binding patterns at the individual, collective, and societal levels — with direct implications for psychology, sociology, political theory, and even AI ethics.

– Explanations for observed gaps in current evolutionary biology models.

– A novel hypothesis for the self-similar distribution of galaxies and the variation of dark matter across galactic structures.

– Novel hypothesis for the ontological necessity of black holes (Schwarzschild singularity points), specifically the observation that virtually every observable galaxy is anchored by a supermassive black hole, and why all physical laws break down into “paradox” at these galactic centers.

 – And lastly: a falsifiability bar that has not been met. The proposed framework sets a direct criterion for refutation: the demonstration of a non-recursive system capable of producing recursion.

Not a single professor has acknowledged, let alone engaged with, this challenge. This is despite significant website traffic, ongoing discussions, and direct support from independent researchers actively & enthusiastically engaging with these ideas.

UW-Madison is my alma mater.

I spent four years at this institution, learning under brilliant professors, surrounded by minds that inspired me to push deeper into the questions that define our reality. I made lifelong friends here. I believed in the integrity of academic inquiry.

Yet, when presented with an independent, rigorously constructed theoretical model — one that offers falsifiability, explanatory power, and direct engagement with the most foundational questions of consciousness, physics, and mathematics — the response was not critique, not discussion, not even skepticism.

Silence.

Not one counterargument. Not one acknowledgment. Not one indication that this university, which prides itself on curiosity and intellectual freedom, is willing to engage with an idea that challenges the foundational assumptions of contemporary thought.

If an independent researcher, a former student of this very institution, presents a framework that — if incorrect — should be trivial to refute, yet no one does so, what does that say about the state of academia today?

What does it mean when intellectual courage is replaced with institutional inertia?

I ask, not as a critic, but as a former student who still holds a deep respect for the pursuit of knowledge:

Is there anyone willing to engage honestly?

Or will this, too, be ignored?
